We started building Wisp with a simple focus. We wanted to make deploying AI agents as easy as deploying an application. As we shared this idea with founders, operators, marketers, sales teams, finance teams, and customer support teams, we kept hearing the same thing. People are excited about AI, but they do not want to learn frameworks, prompts, or infrastructure. They simply want software that helps them get work done.
Today, we are shifting how we think about Wisp to meet that need. We still believe developers should have a great platform to build and deploy AI agents, and that vision has not changed. What has changed is who we believe should be able to use those agents. Our goal is to make Wisp useful for anyone in a company, allowing you to describe what you want in plain English instead of starting with code.
You might say, "Every morning, summarize unread sales emails and draft replies." Wisp should understand the request, build the workflow, connect the right tools, and let you review everything before anything is sent. The first version of Wisp is being designed around everyday business work. We are currently exploring agent templates for sales, marketing, finance, and customer support. We are also building a plain English agent builder along with integrations for Gmail, Slack, Google Sheets, and Notion.
Control is just as important as automation, so every agent should have clear permissions. You can decide whether it can only read information, create drafts, ask for approval before taking action, or run automatically. Every action should be transparent, with a complete history showing what happened, why it happened, which tools were used, how much it cost in ₹, and whether any errors occurred.
Our free tier is also taking shape. Right now, we are considering one workspace, up to two agents, one hundred runs each month, draft only actions, and limited memory and logs. These details may change as we learn from early users.
This is our current direction rather than a final announcement. We are sharing it because we want to build Wisp with the people who will use it. We are also exploring pricing and how it should work for individuals, startups, and larger teams. We will share a separate survey soon and would love your feedback before we finalize anything.
